ASSESSMENT 2:
Watch Slumdog Millionaire or The King’s Speech – then write an essay comparing and contrasting a character from the movie to yourself by writing about the theme of overcoming obstacles to an obstacle you have overcome. Do not simply talk about the obstacle itself. Also discuss the process you and the character went through to overcome, anyone or anything that aided your overcoming, and maybe one or two other aspects. Follow one of the formats of the compare contrast essay, and you MUST set up an outline before you begin writing that I will approve once you're finished.
